The craft of restoring an old car is almost becoming a lost art. A couple of decades ago I remember having trouble just finding someone to fine-tune the carburetor on my ’67 Mustang. Now this ability might not be as arcane as creating Greek fire, but certain skills are disappearing as technology evolves. 

Of course, a few shops are still owned by old hands who remember how classic cars went together, and some of that knowledge is being handed down to their employees. But whatever generation is coming up next have dwindling resources with which to study the art of car restoration.

That’s where McPherson College comes in.…
